For over 20 years Kirby Derby Day in Raleigh has been a source of fun, silliness, and community. Starting in the Kirby-Bilyeu neighborhood and moving to the newly minted Dix Park it is an event that makes Raleigh unique.
We are frequent attendees and have even thrown a car or two in the mix. This year’s theme “Games People Play” had entries from board games to game shows and even Australian Break Dancing. This video starts with the parade and ends with the time trials and eventual one-on-one races.
