On a recent trip to Asheville, we took a quick pit stop in Hickory to grab lunch. Being fans of Olde Hickory Brewery we decided to grab lunch there. I had a chicken salad sandwich and Ant had a burger with their housemade chips. The downtown area was so cute and was perfect to walk around and stretch our legs a bit.
After lunch, we went to find a cup of coffee to fuel us for the road trip ahead. We were excited to discover Taproot Coffee which is an old school bus. I had a latte and Ant had a dirty chai latte. They were great and it was a really fun spot. If you are headed to Asheville from Raleigh, you may want to stop in Hickory.
