During our most recent trip to Disney we got to see Basko the newest tiger cub. Bakso is a Sumatran tiger. He was born in September 2024 and made his debut in the Maharajah Jungle Trek in the Animal Kingdom this spring. Bakso is the first tiger cub born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in seven years.
There are only 600 Sumatran tigers left in the wild. Basko offers hope for this tiger population. Basko was having fun playing with his mom when we were there. It looked like he was playing a game of hide and seek.
I can’t wait to get back to see how much Basko has grown.
