The next time you are headed to Disney Springs you may want to swing by the Amateur Athletic Union. It is a little piece of Disney history hidden in plain sight. The Amateur Union Building in Disney is located at 1910 Hotel Plaza Blvd in Lake Buena Vista. You will find the former Walt Disney World Preview Center.
This was the location of the preview center that opened in 1970 before Walt Disney World was completed to showcase the offerings of the new Disney Resort. It was the first building on Disney property to open to the public. Currently, the Amateur Athletic Union occupies this building and it appears very similar to its original design (little has changed).
