STIR Raleigh

I got to check out STIR Raleigh this weekend before they officially opened their doors. It is located at 4242 Six Forks Road in the Bank of American Building in North Hills. The concept is fresh local food, an oyster bar, craft cocktails and artisanal ice.

Ok so let’s start with this artisinal ice situation. They use a purified ice that has been hand-cut for their cocktails. They use the freshest ingredients possible and try to keep it local. The cocktails I had were amazing. Here is what I had to drink:

Viva La Astral which has tequila, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, and sugar mixed with jalapeño pepper, cucumber, and house made ginger syrup.

Elderflower Sour which has vodka, St. Germain Elderflower, Monin Lime, House-Made Ginger Syrup, and Cucumber.

My favorite was the Viva La Astral. If you love a paloma you will love this drink! Perfect for our hot North Carolina summers.

Alright now that I had a few cocktails, let’s chat about the food. It was really yummy! Here is what I had to eat:

Salmon cakes served with citrus dill yogurt, pickled red onions.

Tillamook Sliders with fresh beef, tillamook cheddar, pickles, and garlic mayo.

Fried green tomatoes served with pimento cheese, green tomato relish, and cotija cheese.

My favorite was the fried green tomatoes! They were perfect with that pimento cheese.

STIR officailly opens its doors to the public this week. I can’t wait to go back and try out their brunch soon and grab another one of those great cocktails!

Cheers to STIR’s opening in Raleigh. We are glad you are here.
