Today we finally got a chance to check out Gonza Tacos on Hillsborough Street. It is located in the aloft hotel. It was the perfect day to visit Gonza as it has been unseasonably warm and they opened the windows.We had a great view of the bell tower.
What we ate: We tried the guacamole for starters. For lunch we opted to try two types of tacos and share. We tried the Callo De Hacha which has scallops, pork belly, chile de arbol, pico de gallo and cheese. We also tried the Lacko taco which was a short rib taco with roasted corn, poblano salsa and creme fraiche.. Each of the taco platters came with 3 tacos and a side. We chose the Tortilla Soup for our side. The soup had chicken, sweet potato, bell peppers, onion, avocado and cilantro.
Everything we had was excellent. The portion sizes were on the smaller size which was perfect for lunch. For information about Gonza Tacos check out their site.
