Southern Charred started brunch service today. We stopped by to grab a bite to eat.
We both got the $10 waffle platter, which is a waffle served with a 4 ounce serving of meat. I got chicken with South Carolina Sauce and Anthony opted for the brisket. The Belgian waffle is served with honey butter and maple syrup. This was the perfect sweet and savory brunch. So good! We also had the Sunday Bloody which was served with bacon. Everything is better with bacon, right?
Other items on the menu included smoked shrimp and grits and a southern egg skillet, served with a dollop of pimento cheese. You had me at pimento cheese!!!!
Southern Charred is located in Glenwood South and has been open since October 2017.
