Optimist Hall #CLT

We made a quick trip down to Charlotte recently. We decided to visit Optimist Food Hall. Their concept is a food hall with tons of dining options, bars, and a few specialty shops. Optimist Hall was built in 1892 and was originally home to Charlotte’s largest textile mill.

What we found was lots of good food options. In fact, there were so many options we had a hard time deciding.

We opted for pizza at AVA neopolitan pizzeria. We shared a chorizo pizza with mozzarella, peppers, dates, goat cheese, and chorizo sausage. The pizza was so good with the perfect sweet and savory elements.

We washed it all down with a couple of beers from Fonta Flora Brewery. Their brewery is located in Morganton but they have a taproom here at Optimist Hall. I had the Hop Beard IPA. It is described as a mountain man IPA and it is great!

Oh yes, and of course, we grabbed a coffee to go! We stopped by Undercurrent. I opted for the catch me if you can latte. It is made with housemade syrup inspired by cookie butter and garnished with a ginger cookie. This drink was the perfect seasonal treat.

This was my favorite stop during our trip to Charlotte. We loved all the options for great food and drinks. We will be back again soon.
