Playing with a new lens the Sigma 35mm 1:1.4. This lens is considered by Sigma to be an art lens and I got it for shooting video and last night decided to take it on a couple of stops to test it out. I wasn’t shooting in RAW by accident but still like the results. The settings were very dark and it seemed to handle that well and the maximum aperture of 1.4 gave a very shallow depth of field that was fun to play with. Might take it out for some more shots today. Also – Happy 19th Birthday Carolina Brewing Company (the one in Holly Springs) – thanks for the free beer at 42nd Street. If you haven’t tried their birthday Imperial IPA – you should – it is really good.
