First Friday is nothing new – once a month Raleigh opens her streets to a downtown-wide art walk.
First Friday is a free self-guided tour of downtown’s cutting edge cultural hot spots. Local art galleries, art studios, alternative art venues, and museums stay open late the first Friday of every month to welcome thousands of art-seeking enthusiasts downtown. The event runs from 6 pm-9 pm, but some venue hours may vary.
This month we visited Oak City Cycling, Raleigh City Farm, High Cotton (a tie place – not a thai place), Triangle Blvd, and Designbox. Great artwork and good times to be had at all of them.
One of the highlights was finding the great book the right. Seemed very fitting to highlight it here.
