Pinehurst Brewing Co.

Recently we did a day trip down to Pinehurst for the Women’s Open. We decided to grab lunch at Pinehurst Brewing Co.. Their concept is Brews and BBQ crafted with pride in the Village of Pinehurst.

What we had to eat and drink:

  • Smoked Chicken Wings – Tossed in Cheerwine Sauce served with Ranch Dressing.
  • Pulled Pork Shoulder Plate with Smoked Mac ‘n Cheese and Onion Rings.
  • Textbook Haze-Hazy IPA – A New England style IPA brewed with Cashmere and Citra hops. Citrus orange forward with a silky smooth finish.
  • Pivoted-NE IPA – 100% Citra and Mosaic hops. Juicy and very easy on the palate.

The food was great and the drinks were perfect for the hot summer day.

One of the cool things about the Brewery is that it was an old steam plant that the renovated.

Here is a bit about their story: “The historic steam plant provided power to the Village of Pinehurst at its inception in 1895. Overgrown and long abandoned, we saw a chance to bring the steam plant back to life. To provide a different kind of energy to the Village. A place where neighbors and friends can gather, share a beer, some great food and simply recharge their spirit.”
