In May of 2015, I stood on top of the hill overlooking what was to become the newest brewery to Asheville – New Belgium. Standing there you could tell it was going to be something really special. The brewery has been open and I finally just got an opportunity to return. I was so impressed by the New Belgium facility.
The Liquid Center has the local artist-made dining tables and chairs. There are almost 14 miles of re-purposed wood salvaged from the old site. You can tour the facility daily. Tours are about 90 minutes and you get to enjoy some beverages along the way. You can book your tours up to 2 months in advance. One of my favorite things about the facility is the slide. You just have to enjoy the ride.
The brewery located on the French Broad River which is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a beer. Which is exactly what I did. I got to try a Voodoo Ranger – Special Release: Juicy Mandarin IPA. It is awesome. I am a huge fan of Citradelic but this is even better.
Headed to Asheville? Make sure to add New Belgium to your stop.
