Holy Smokes! Longleaf Swine is now officially open. Long time Raleigh residents may remember it as the old Oakwood Cafe. The restaurant is located at 300 East Edenton Street. The space is awesome. They have a huge patio to enjoy your bbq and a cold beer.
Here is what we had to eat:
- Brisket Sammies
- Smoked NC Sweet Potatoes served with goat cheese, candied pepitas, agave finish
- Esquites which is a yellow corn with poblano, onion, cilantro and cotija cheese
The food was excellent. The sides had so much depth. That goat cheese and candied pepitas were so good on the sweet potatoes. I can’t wait to go back and try something else soon.
