On occasion 919 goes to the 336, especially when it involves a good burger. We happened to be passing through Greensboro on the way home and needed to grab lunch. Hops Burger Bar was named the nation’s top burger restaurant by TripAdvisor in 2015 so we decided to stop by and give it a try.
Because we were traveling we had Trooper with us. Thankfully they had a seat out on the patio. The staff were so nice to Trooper. They brought him out his very own water bowl.
What we had to eat: For starters, we had Fried Goat Cheese Balls with a fig glaze and Asiago cheese. I had the French Onion Burger with caramelized onions, Gruyere cheese, and roasted garlic aioli. Anthony had the Diablo Burger with pepper jack cheese, guacamole and jalapeno bacon on a sriracha bun. We also had a Mikkeller San Diego & Voodoo Brewery Collaborate On Flops On Deck to go with our burgers.
