Chanticleer means rooster. From Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, Chanticleer is a proud and magnificent rooster who is the king of the barnyard. He announces the beginning of each day with pride and artistry.
At Chanticleer Café & Bakery, they want to bring that same pride and craftsmanship to their cafe. The bakery is located in the Wellington Park Shopping Center in Cary on the corner of Cary Parkway and Tryon Road. They serve breakfast, lunch, dessert, and coffee.
What we had to eat:
- The Pear and Prosciutto – Sliced Pears, Prosciutto and Manchego Cheese with Fig Preserves on an Italian Roll
- Flat Brat – Bratwurst, Whole Grain Mustard, Sliced Swiss Cheese and Sauerkraut on
Pumpernickel Bread
The sandwiches were great. They were served with homemade chips that were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We enjoyed a brownie for dessert. Their bakery has various Croissants, Danishes, Muffins, and Cookies. All of them looked delicious. If you are looking for a great place for lunch make sure to check Chanticleer out.
