One of the hidden gems at the Animal Kingdom Lodge are the culinary tours available at Jiko and Boma. They are free and available at 4 PM. daily. You learn about the design of the restaurant and the food.
We even got to sample some of the cuisine during the tour. We got to sample the world-famous Zebra Dome. They are thin layers of white cake covered with a which chocolate ganache. The secret ingredient is an Amarula liquor mousse.
People from Africa gave us tours of each of the restaurants. They spoke about their country’s customs. The tour lasted about an hour and is free. If you are looking for a break from the parks this is the perfect chance to get away and enjoy some time at the resort.
