There is a new salad joint in town, located in Cameron Village. For those of you familiar with CV, it is located next to the Village Draft House. Chopt’s Credo is they crave better. They also say they search the globe for faraway flavors and look for local ingredients and local artisans.
Upon recommendation from one of the staff I tried the Chicken Tinga. He explained it was considered a first time favorite, which means chances were pretty good that I would like it. It was described as Braised chicken tinga, southwest quinoa blend, avocado, scallions, tortilla chips, cotija cheese, kale, broccoleaf and purple cabbage. Wow! What a great salad. It was flavorful and filling.
