Co-Host ‘Craft Beer, Ice Cream & Comedy for the Climate’ in Chapel Hill, N.C., on November 12
The party will feature New Belgium beer and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream pairings, music and comedians, and will benefit Environment North Carolina.
New Belgium Brewing and the local Ben & Jerry’s shop in Chapel Hill, N.C., are teaming up to co-host ‘Craft Beer, Ice Cream & Comedy for the Climate’ on Thursday, November 12 at The Cat’s Cradle. The event will celebrate New Belgium and Ben & Jerry’s collaboration, Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale, plus benefit Environment North Carolina – a statewide, citizen-funded advocacy group working for a cleaner, greener and healthier future.
Alongside bottles of Fat Tire, Ranger IPA and Accumulation White IPA to make delicious ice cream combos, there will be an Environment North Carolina-sponsored letter station at The Cat’s Cradle, so guests can easily write to their government representatives about green initiatives for the Tar Heel State. Environment North Carolina will receive $1 per beer sold throughout the ‘Comedy for the Climate’ event, which includes headlining acts Joe Zimmerman and Randy Liedtke.
“From rising seas threatening our coastline to flooding threatening our farms, North Carolina is already experiencing the impacts of climate change,” said Liz Kazal, Environment North Carolina’s field director. “The good news is that North Carolina is poised to be a leader in solar power, wind power and other global warming solutions. We’re excited for the community to come together in support of these alternative solutions and have a great time doing it – what’s better than standup comedy, craft beer and ice cream?”
