IBMA stands for International Bluegrass Music Association and since I was born and raised in the birthplace of the genre it is easy for me to forget that International doesn’t mean just the southern states it does include the rest of the planet. Long story short we were sitting beside someone from Switzerland during the concert. Someone cool enough to love bluegrass, find their way to Raleigh, and give me a chocolate bar. Bluegrass, new friend, and chocolate? Win, win, and win. Thanks again Angelika – can’t wait to see you again next year.
