Van Leeuwen Ice Cream started its business in a yellow truck on the streets of NYC in 2008 with a mission to make good ice cream that makes you feel good. You can now get their ice cream at your nearby grocery store.
We were intrigued by some of their new and unique collaborations and decided to give them a try. Here is what we sampled:
Grey Poupon: Grey Poupon elevates any meal to something worth savoring, so why not ice cream, especially French Ice Cream?”
Pizza: Put aside any notion that you can’t have your pizza and ice cream together in one crazy, but crazy delicious, flavor,” so we put aside such notions, reluctantly. This one has “cream cheese and mozzarella ice cream with a tomato jam swirl and basil crust cookies!”
Kraft Macaroni and Cheese: Have you ever met someone who didn’t smile while eating ice cream? Or while eating a comforting bowl of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese? Yeah, we didn’t think so. So why not enjoy both, at the same time, in the same bowl, with the same mouth? You know you’ve always wondered what this mash-up would taste like. Or at least you do now.
My favorite was the Grey Poupon. They were all actually weirdly good. The Mac and Cheese and pizza were a bit too rich for me. If you are looking for some flavors to try make sure to check them out.
