I keep posting new Artificial Intelligence sites and they keep getting more elaborate and interesting. Text-to-speech is nothing new but being able to create that speech with a ton of “celebrity” voices is definitely an interesting twist on the concept. Is it at “deep fake” level? Not yet. But it is pretty impressive.
As a test, I picked Boomhauer (King of the Hill) for the distinct hard-to-understand southern accent, HAL 9000 who should sound like a robot anyway, and Adam Driver who rarely has emotion in his speech. I am not sure I am ready to have any of them voice the next commercial for 919raleigh but the technology is getting better and quickly.
