Prison Break Run 2013

In the first of hopefully several social runs with a fun theme we ran the RunRaleigh Races Prison Break Run. It was a three-mile fun run that started at Tir Na Nog Irish Pub (only makes too much sense that one may actually start their prison time here), a run to Central Prison, an escape to Boylan Bridge Brewpub (where else for that first beer after hard time), a quick return to the Wake County Jail and a subsequent escape back to Tir Na Nog where our life of crime began.

The costumes were great – lots of stripes and orange jumpsuits. The weather was awesome. Hopefully we’ll have similar conditions over the next two weekends for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Devil Made Me Do It Run (tickets available).

Thanks again to the race organizer we had a great time and we helped raise $1200 for the two Officers riding in the National Law Enforcement Bike Ride to Honor Fallen Officers. It was worth breaking out of prison for that.
