Escazú Chocolates opened their new location today in Gateway Plaza (2409 Crabtree Blvd). The new space has longer hours, seating both indoor and outdoor and ice cream. You can also watch the chocolate being made through a large window.
Among the event treats, we had the pleasure of trying both the ice cream sandwich and the chocolate-covered chips, two standout offerings that capture Escazú’s inventive spirit.
Ice Cream Sandwich – Made in-house using their ice cream these sandwiches were indulgently creamy, with a perfect balance of rich ice cream and soft, chewy cookies! Each bite felt luxurious but approachable.
Chocolate?Covered Chips – A playful twist on snack-time, these are potato chips dipped in Escazú’s chocolate—crunchy, salty, and sweet all at once. The thick layer of high?quality chocolate made each chip feel like a mini dessert-meets-snack.
The grand reopening of Escazú is not just a new location—it’s an upgrade in experience. From watching chocolate crafting in real time to enjoying a freshly assembled ice cream sandwich or a chocolate-coated chip, the place now comes alive with interactive flavors and sights.
If you’re in Raleigh today, it’s well worth popping in—not just for the sweets, but for the story behind them, lovingly on display.
