In September 2020 Taco Bell decided to discontinue the immensely popular Mexican Pizza because it didn’t align with the brand’s long-term environmental impact goals: In the U.S., packaging for Mexican Pizzas contributed over 7 million pounds of paperboard waste annually.
This May the infamous Pizza is back because if the past two years taught us anything it’s that a little bit of cardboard isn’t going to do any more harm than we are doing anyway. May as well enjoy the pizza. Sure the world is literally falling apart why not enjoy this tasty meal before it does.
