The International Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT runs March 1 – May 29. The event features topiaries, gardens, outdoor kitchens, and concerts. Everywhere you look there are flowers and it is a wonderful way to welcome spring.I think the most impressive thing about the International Flower & Garden Festival are over 70 topiaries you will find throughout the park. Each year they have a new one and this year featured Figment near Spaceship Earth. The arrangements are all around the countries so as you wander through Epcot you will find something new.For those foodies in your group, you will enjoy the outdoor kitchens throughout the park that offer special food and drinks just for the festival. In China, you will the Lotus House that offers a spicy lettuce wrap and Beijing-style Candied Strawberries. You can also try a drink called the Dragon Pearl which is beer, honey, cream, and Tapioca Pearls. I love the opportunity to try new foods and the outdoor kitchens allow you to do just that.
The International Flower & Garden Festival Garden Rocks Series features some great musical acts. Shows are run Friday-Monday and feature bands like Night Ranger, the Pointer Sisters, and the Gin Blossoms. Did someone say “Hey Jealousy”???
Pro Tip:
Make sure to grab an International Flower & Garden Festival Garden Passport. This allows you to gather stickers as you visit the various destinations throughout the park. After you are done make sure to mark your passport with the completion sticker and reward yourself with a delicious beverage from one of the outdoor kitchens.
Bring your camera. The flowers are so beautiful you will want to make sure to take pictures of all of the flowers throughout the park.
Some of the concerts are popular so make sure to get there early.
