It’s late. The show is over and everyone has gone home. Me? I’m posting pictures from the concert at 1AM because Cara is still up cleaning house or something. Anyway – don’t expect journalistic genius this time of night (or any other time really). Don’t expect the pictures to be in focus if you are shooting with a point-n-shoot in the dark. And most importantly don’t expect me to speak in complete sentences for most of the day tomorrow. I’m sorry – I don’t make the rules – I just follow them.
The Last Summer of Earth Tour featuring Cracker, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Blues Traveler and Barenaked Ladies was great. We missed Cracker and while I probably can’t name 3 Cracker songs I’m sure they did well and hope one of the other bands picked up their bar tab at least. Big Head Todd was good – they did a great cover of LMFAO’s Sexy and I Know It in a blues fashion. Blues Traveler was well – Blues Traveler. They always meet expectations and put on a good show for the money. Barenaked Ladies stole the show. Their regular songs are well performed and their impromptu rambling about the shimmer wall was fun as was their multi-pop song medley.
At the end I walked away feeling satisfied but not overwhelmed – simply put – I got exactly what I expected. More pictures after the jump and feel free to answer the very important question – If you had a million dollars… what would you do?
