One of our favorite foodie events is Charleston Wine and Food Festival. This year they made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 festival. This event connects so many people to one of the things we love most, food. The festival showcases some of the best talents in the industry all together in one fantastic city.
In lieu of an in-person celebration, they will be doing some things digitally. There will be some live-stream events and some other types of programming. One program I encourage you to check out is the Waffle House SmackDown, which is always a fan-favorite. This year the event will be hosted by Raleigh’s own Chef Ashley Christensen.
The event is presented by Williams Sonoma and will feature the following talent: Chef Mason Hereford of Turkey and the Wolf and Molly’s Rise and Shine in New Orleans Top Chef’s Claudette Zepeda of the highly anticipated Vaga Restaurant in Encinitas.
These two will throw down by creating Waffle House-inspired dishes. They are competing for the title of Master Blaster! Want to help decide who wins? Make sure to get a ticket! This is always a fun event and I can’t wait to enjoy it again this year, just virtually!
