Lego turns 80 today! I will celebrate by snapping together several little plastic bricks.
“det bedste er ikke for godt“ means “Only the best is the best” or “The best is never too good” – not a bad motto for a company that makes blocks that have to snap together perfectly to work. No the Lego brick is not 80 – the Lego company is. The modern brick was patented in 1958 and is still compatible with bricks made today. (Exception being Samsonite Lego Bricks which are not compatible with anything.)
