This year we will have people ride on the St. Patrick’s Day float for the first or even second time and others – well – this isn’t our first ride down the parade route if you know what I mean. It all started pack in 2006 with a few friends, a slight buzz and a dream and the rest as they say is history.
Every year gets better and better and we’re not done yet. Our goal is the same this year as it has been every year before – embarrass ourselves a little and try to make a a few people happy for a just a minute or two as we ride by. You might be able to find a way to have more fun with hot glue, cardboard and duct tape but this has to be in the top 3.
Thanks to BobG for the video – it is awesome to look back at where we’ve been over the years.
Great video Bob G. This thing has a unique history and a mind of its own. That was neat to see the progression and how the floats, in my opinion, have improved over the years.
Improved? Looking at the first year vs. the last we’ve come a really long way. I don’t think we knew what we were getting into or even want to expect at first. As we’ve grown in experience the floats and the costumes have grown as well. It’s no wonder we vote ourselves “MOST FUN FLOAT” every year.
Not the greatest editing job ever, but thanks. I got a kick out of seeing the progression too. Honestly, the Viking ship looked pretty good from the crowd’s distance. Just imagine how AWESOME the dancefloor is gonna be !
Awesome video, brings back lots of memories of drunken shenanigans! Bring on the disco!!
