Scum & Villainy Cantina

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Or, apparently, nicer people.

While exploring Hollywood, we stopped into Scum & Villainy Cantina, a Star Wars-inspired bar just off the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We weren’t looking for dinner or drinks, just a chance to peek inside a place that looked like it belonged in a galaxy far, far away.

The cantina takes its inspiration from the famous Mos Eisley watering hole in the original Star Wars, but its story is interesting too. Originally launched as a temporary pop-up in 2017, it became so popular with fans that the owners decided to make it permanent. Today, it’s a gathering place for science fiction, fantasy, and pop culture enthusiasts, complete with themed drinks, costumes, and special events.

The atmosphere is fun, but what impressed us most was the staff. We only stopped in for a few minutes, looked around, and chatted with the folks working there. They couldn’t have been nicer. Even though we weren’t staying for food or drinks, they were friendly, welcoming, and happy to talk with us.

We can’t review the food or cocktails this time, but we can certainly recommend the hospitality. It’s a fun little piece of Hollywood for Star Wars fans, and a place we’d love to revisit when we have more time.
