Bare Bones (Southern Restaurant)

The former Zinda restaurant on Fayetteville Street has now become Bare Bones. This restaurant is part of the Eschelon Experiences lineup (the owners of Mura, Haymaker, etc).

Their mantra is low and slow. Perfect for a rib and bbq joint. We decided to sample a bunch of different appetizers for dinner. Here is what we had to eat:

Burnt End Fritos – They are tortillas with cheese sauce, smoked brisket pieces, lettuce, pico de gallo, candied jalapenos and avocado crema.

General Tso’s Pork Belly – The pork belly was served with broccoli in an Asian-style Cheerwine sauce.

White Cheddar Pimento Beer Cheese – The cheese is coated in smoked pecan with bacon jam, pickled vegetables with house saltine crackers.

All the plates were great. Our favorite was the Burnt End Fritos. Please note though that they are actually served with tortillas and not Fritos. Still great though.

We will definitely be back soon.
