Jambo! We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge a long time ago for a race weekend. We enjoyed our stay then and when we saw a deal come up for a week, we jumped at the chance to stay here. Here are 5 reasons to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge:
Animals – We had a room with a porch. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the mornings and evenings. It was fun to watch the animals and it was very relaxing.
Activities – There were so many activities to take part in at the lodge. You will not get bored. You collect beads as you do each of the activities. We learned about flamingo behavior, animal tracking, and the music of the savannah. Our favorite activity was stuffing the feeders for the giraffes. It was so cool. My five-year-old loved it.
Pool – They have a lovely pool with a water slide that my son thought was amazing. Also a bonus for two hot tubs as well. It helps to soak after a long day at the parks. We also did the night glow party at the pool where staff did activities with the kids. My son loved it.
Playground – The playground was a nice place for our kiddo to get some energy out. It was also shaded which was a plus after being in the hot Florida sun.
Food – One of our favorite places to eat is Sanaa. They have the best bread service. You get five types of bread (Traditional Naan, Garlic-Ginger Naan, Spiced Naan, Onion Kulcha, or Paneer Paratha) and it is served with nine accompaniments (Cucumber Raita, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Mango Chutney, Tomato-Date Jam, Tamarind Chutney, Coriander Chutney, Garlic Pickle, Red Chile Sambal, or Spicy Jalapeño-Lime Pickle).
