A trip to Texas without Bar-B-Que would be irresponsible. We are not irresponsible people. Cooper’s Pit Bar-B-Que was recommended by a couple of folks in town and it lived up to expectations. The method of ordering and receiving your food is more of what one might expect from a deli, not a restaurant but it is great fun and leaves your party eating in a picnic-style. We tried the brisket (moist), sausage and some pork tenderloin. Everything was well smoked and very flavorful. I would suggest this place if you are in Fort Worth but I don’t expect any place in the area is going to serve a bad BBQ meal – at least by Texas standards.I have no reason to believe that Cooper’s of Texas is in any way related to local favorite Clyde Cooper’s – in case you were wondering.
