The U.S. Women’s Open is June 2-5 at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C. It’s just a short hour drive from Raleigh so it’s the perfect excuse to grab tickets and see some of the best in golf in the world.
This is the 77th Women’s open. The last time the tournament was in North Carolina was in 2014 and they will be hosting again in 2029. There are over 100 women competing in this year’s event. We attended the practice round today and what I love is seeing the kids interact with the golfers. They were available for autographs and you could see the smiles on all the kids’ faces. It was great. The other thing I loved was the camaraderie between the players. I loved seeing them chat with each other and discussing the different tournaments.
So if you aren’t into golf why should you get tickets. The event is really fun. You can grab a beer and walk around the course watching some of the best of the best in golf. A day in Southern Pines/Pinehurst is always a good idea.
