The Art of the Brick is one of CNN’s “Top Ten Global Must-See Exhibitions” artist Nathan Sawaya creates unbelievably impressive works from Lego bricks. Usually, you would expect an exhibit like this to be in Raleigh if not New York or Atlanta. It wasn’t.
This exhibit can be seen for free in Graham, NC courtesy the Alamance Arts Council. For a small town on the outskirts of both the Triangle and the Triad, this should earn them serious points as a real place to visit – at least for the rest of August, September, and October while the sculptures are in town.
Brian, Chloe, Cara and I had a great time exploring the sculptures that range from 15,000-25,000 bricks each. If you get the chance make the short drive out to Graham and enjoy both the works of art and the lovely downtown area.
