Crock-pot Candied Pecans

Equipment

  • 1 Crock Pot

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Pecans
  • 1 Egg White
  • 1 tbsp Butter Melted & Cooled
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon Freshly Grated Nutmeg (Optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon Powdered Ginger (Optional)
  • Cooking Spray

Instructions
 

  • Spray your crock-pot with the cooking spray.
  • Add the egg white to your slow cooker, and beat with a fork until frothy.
  • Add everything but the nuts, and stir until you have a thick, syrup.
  • Add the nuts, gently stir to coat, and cook on low for two and a half hours.
  • Stir the nuts every hour ensure they cook evenly.
  • When they are done cooking place the nuts evenly on a silpat mat and allow them to cool.
