We headed out towards Fuquay-Varina to Kidds Place Sporting Clay Range for a little Sunday shoot off. It was the first time Cara or I had shot sporting clays. The experience is a lot of fun and much more difficult than you might imagine. We shot 50 targets each and our combined hit rate for the group was probably under 20%. The feeling when you hit a target is awesome – a surprise downpour in the middle of the course wasn’t. That bright blue sky in the first couple of pictures didn’t last but neither did the rain.
Overall it was a great time – thanks to Candace and John for planning it. And yes – I think Cara and I hit the least number of targets of any pair. That just means we need more practice.
