First Friday is always fun in Raleigh. This hasn’t been the best week for us between the flu and the wreck and everything else but it was nice to get out for a little bit and visit a friend and former colleague’s bike shop on the edge of downtown for First Friday – Oak City Cycling Project. If you aren’t familiar with the shop stop in. It is a very unique community-focused store that can meet the needs of an experienced biker or provide direction for those of us only a step or two away from training wheels.
The art was a collection of hand drawn bicycle parts by Bryan Paxton (who has his own Kickstarter campaign), beer was provided by Sub Noir Brewing Company and high-intensity caffeinenation by Slingshot Coffee. Art, Beer, Coffee – the perfect ABC combination for First Friday.
