Today was the first day of Astronomy Days 2015 held at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. The exhibits and the special presentation by Astronaut Andrew Feustel were great. He recounted his missions aboard STS-125 & STS-134 working on the Hubble Space Telescope and installing the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer on the International Space Station. The presentation is great and many of the slides he shared are pictured below. After the presentation he signed some autographs and CaraDMc had him sign her NASA Atlantis t-shirt.
Check the schedule for tomorrow’s activities starting at noon. There is even an encore presentation from Dr. Feustel at 2:00PM. Don’t miss the exhibits in both buildings and make sure you hit the fourth floor of the Nature Research Center for the NASA stuff.
