Winederlust was held at Lowndes Grove Plantation. It was the perfect location to sip some wine and nosh on some great bites.
The venue is right on the water which was a great backdrop for a wonderful afternoon.
We got to try lots of good food. My favorite was the charred cabbage with a sauerkraut cream sauce. Talk about unique flavors! Well done Michael and Tara Gallina. We also got to try a Lamb Gyro from Kristian Niemi. It was also delicious.
We sampled a pancetta and oyster pancake from Charles Lee with the American Pig in Asheville. It had really great flavors. I hope we can make it up to visit the American Pig when we are in Asheville in a month or two!
My favorite was getting to meet Chef Eddie from Taqueria Del Sol in Atlanta. He made a wonderful ceviche and told us about his new cookbook that is scheduled to be out in April. You can preorder now!
It was a great evening of food, fun, and wine. Make sure to add Winderlust to your must not miss events for next year!
