We got word today from the folks at The Smashed Waffle Company that their new location at 2304 Hillsborough Street will be open this week. Yipeee!!! I am so excited. The first Smashed Waffle Cafe opened in Greenville, North Carolina in November of 2017. They were initially a delivery service but moving to the cafe has allowed them to provide more options for waffle fans. Choices included savory options like Waffle-Wiches and specialty coffees. The coffees will include a Morning Mojo, which is a medium roast. In keeping with the nitro cold brew rage, they will offer kegged coffee and espresso-based lattes. Oh yeah, did we mention that this is coffee for a cause? For every cup of coffee sold, a part of the proceeds helps a family that is affected by Autism.
