When in eastern North Carolina you must seek out the barbecue. Parker’s is a mainstay in North Carolina and a must-visit when traveling to Wilson. It is a no-frills old school barbecue spot right on the highway. We ordered a combination meal which included barbecue pork and fried chicken.
Sides included green beans and fries. Tanner got a kids’ fried shrimp plate. All the meals came with hushpuppies, coleslaw, and corn sticks to share. I loved stopping at Parker’s. The fried chicken and hushpuppies were my favorites. If you like barbecue and find yourself in Wilson make sure to stop by this iconic spot.
