On the way into downtown Wilmington is a store that simply says Fish Market, but it is way more than a fish market. The Eagle Island Fish Market is located at 2500 US Highway 421 N. Walk inside and you will find collards, old-fashion candy, relishes, pimento cheese, jam and more. And did I mention they have ice cream? You can grab a cone and enjoy it while shopping.
They do have fish too. Since they are so close to the coast they have really fresh fish. Since the oyster season is in we got to see them cleaning oysters.
