Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort #WDW21

On this trip to Disney World, we stayed at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort for the first time. This moderately priced resort has the advantage of being on both the park bus line and direct access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios via the Skyliner. Our room was in the Trinidad area of the resort (Martinique, Aruba, Jamaica, and Barbados are the others) and decorated with a pirate theme including beds themed as pirate ships.

The room location was close to both the bus stop and the Skyliner entrance so it was great for getting to and from the parks quickly. The resort has pools in every named area and a large pool at the main entrance that has a pirate ship splash ground. Caribbean Beach Resort opened in the late 1980s so the building design is dated but the rooms were updated. And most importantly to our 2-year-old – the park has a great playground near the main pool.

The resort is nice and a lot of effort had gone into COVID prevention. From the room being deep cleaned prior to our visit to limited access to the room by Disney cast members and even limited seats available on transportation.

Know before you go – all dining options are not open and the ones that are either require a reservation or a mobile order that will give you a window to pick up your food. You will have to plan your meals or expect to wait. Also, pay close attention to what is changing. Change is happening quickly as rules and regulations are modified around COVID and as more staff is available to work at the resort.
