Pizza lovers rejoice! There is a new pie place in town and the concept is Neapolitan inspired pizza from Ashley Christensen. The restaurant is located at 428 S. McDowell Street in downtown Raleigh.
One of the best-kept secrets is that they have an Aperitivo on Friday afternoons from 4-5. An Aperitivo is an Italian tradition where you enjoy a drink and a light meal that takes place at the end of the workday. We will call it an Italian Happy Hour. For just $20 you can enjoy Aperol spritzes, Peronis and bar snacks. It is the perfect way to end the week and kick-off the weekend.
After enjoying some snacks and drinks we decided to stay for dinner. For starters, we had the Macaroni frittatine w/ roasted tomato relish. This was so good and probably my favorite thing we had. It was a fried mac and cheese ball and it was delicious We then shared a pizza for dinner which was amazing. They use quality ingredients and it makes the pizza soooo good.
