The Disney Parks were designed to be in a constant state of change. Walt Disney himself said “We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. If you can dream it, you can do it. All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” This sometimes means things disappear just beyond their height and other times means they slow shrink before disappearing into the shadows. Innoventions represents the later option. From a bright history following the original CommuniCore to a slight fizzle on the way out Innoventions probably will only be missed by those that remember it from long before its current closure.
This is a final walkthrough of what was left before the doors shut for good. We’ll look forward to seeing what this space becomes and hope that some elements of the original EPCOT stay in place.
