Interactive and photo friendly? This is the only place in Raleigh where you can take a ‘selfie’ with a sauropod and you better hurry this show becomes extinct on April 12th. The World’s Largest Dinosaurs exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is impressive both in the collection presented but how it relates the gigantic animals to ones we are more familiar with today both big and small.
The exhibition draws on cutting-edge paleo-biological research that looks in part to living organisms to make inferences about how these giants were able to thrive, as a group, for approximately 140 million years. Through innovative exhibits — including the exhibition centerpiece, a life-sized, detailed model of a 60-foot-long Mamenchisaurus —The World’s Largest Dinosaurs takes visitors beyond the bones and into the bodies of these titans, shedding light on how heart rate, respiration, metabolism, and reproduction are linked to size.
This is a great exhibit and one that should be educational and entertaining with the interactive pieces that help you understand more about the dinosaurs. #WLDinoNC
