Sylva & Dillsboro were the next two quick stops on our tour of western North Carolina. Sylva being the closest town to good ol “dry” Cullowhee where you could purchase alcohol and Dillsboro being – well the next town over from Sylva – a quaint little town that hasn’t changed at all in the ten years or more since we’ve been through here.
It was sad to see some familiar favorites gone from Sylva but nice to see that some were still there and a few new places had moved in including a brewery. The Jackson County Courthouse – supposedly one of the most photographed in NC is becoming a library but it didn’t appear that much else changed.
Dillsboro is the same. Same Jarrett House – same shops. It was like walking into a time machine. More pictures after the jump. Cherokee, the Great Smokey Mountains and Gatlinburg tomorrow before we head back to Asheville for Thanksgiving.
great road trip! looking forward to more posts!
