Buena Papa Fry Bar

Buena Papa is Raleigh’s first french fry bar. They opened last month in Morgan Street Food Hall in downtown Raleigh. Their concept is Colombian-inspired, Latin-infused flavors over hand-cut, made-to-order gourmet French fries, along with other global, premium toppings.

Here is what we had to eat:
El Colombiano – BP Signature Fries layered with Colombian refried beans and topped with chicharron (fried pork belly), chorizo, and finished with guacamole and pico de gallo.
Pro tip? Ask for the hot sauce.

El Griego – BP Signature Fries tossed in greek seasonings, topped with grilled chicken, tzatziki sauce, and finished with pico de gallo.

What we had to drink:
Blackberry Juice (Mora)
Passion Fruit Juice (Maracuya)

The food and drinks were so good. My favorite was the El Colombiano. We got hot sauce on ours and it was the perfect amount of heat. They were perfectly seasoned. The juices are from Colombia and were so perfectly refreshing. It was so great to enjoy the cool drink while enjoying our fries.

If you haven’t been to Buena Papa yet, they are celebrating their grand opening on August 26. The first 10 customers will enjoy their favorite Buena Papa dish on the house and every hour, the team will choose a guest to win free fries for a year!!! Buena Papa will also unveil a brand-new recipe, exclusive to the grand opening and celebrate with a ribbon-cutting. Follow them on Instagram for all the details.

Congratulations to James and Johanna Windon for opening Raleigh’s first french fry bar. We can’t wait to get back to try the other great combinations on the menu.
