Western North Carolina Nature Center #AVL

The Western North Carolina Nature Center is a great place to visit if you are in Asheville. You should plan on spending a couple of hours there for your visit. Admission is just $10.95 for adults and $6.95 for kids.

They have 42 acres of exhibits to explore. Its mission is to connect people with the animals of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. The site is managed by the Asheville Parks Department.

Animals you will see at the Nature Center include box turtles, goats, sheep, owls, cougar, gray wolf, red wolf, coyote, grey fox, otters, black bear, and bobcats.
